The Federal Government has awarded scholarships to twelve students at Federal University Lokoja

The Federal Scholarship Board (FSB), which operates under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Education, has released the names of 12 Federal University Lokoja (FUL) undergraduate students who have been awarded Federal Government Scholarships to study at FUL, which is one of Nigeria’s benefiting public tertiary institutions.
The Board notified this to the University through the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), headed by Professor M.S. Audu, in a memorandum dated April 1, 2022.
During the weekly meeting of Principal Officers of the University held on Monday, April 11, 2022, Mal. Abdul Gaminana, a staff of FSB, presented the award letters to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi.

The Board indicated in the letters that the scholarship, which is valid in Nigeria, began at the start of the 2021 Academic Session and that the grant was worth N250,000.00 per session for three (3) years.

Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, expressed deep gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR; the Honourable Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu; and the Director, Federal Scholarship Board, Mrs Asta Ndajiwo, for awarding these scholarships to deserving students of Federal University Lokoja.

The scholarships, according to Professor Akinwumi, will go a long way toward assisting students in realizing their academic goals and providing aid to their families.

While congratulating the recipients, the Vice-Chancellor reminded them that they must earn the honor by excelling in their fields of study.
