The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released a list of prohibited items in the examination hall for the 2022 UTME

In the upcoming 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has maintained its instruction that no applicant would be permitted to enter the exam hall with electronic devices (UTME).

JAMB has released a list of Prohibited Items that will not be permitted into any of its test centers this year. These are the items:

Mobile phones, calculators, wristwatches, recorders, and spy reading glasses cameras are examples of electronic gadgets.
Bluetooth earpiece devices
USB \sCD
Storage devices such as hard disks and other comparable items
Ink/pen readers pens/biro smart lenses books or any reading/writing material
holders of keys
Erasers for ATM cards
smart jewelry/rings
“To ensure that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s examinations comply with best global practice, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has prohibited the use of the following items during examinations,” according to the bulletin.

“In their best interests, candidates are urged not to bring certain objects close to the test location.” Candidates will be barred from taking the test if they violate this guideline.”

Last year, some candidates who disobeyed the order and carried some of the gadgets to the hall were arrested and turned over to security forces, according to JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
